Choosing a school is not a decision any parent takes lightly. You want to know what your child will actually experience day to day — not the version printed on a brochure, but the real thing. This page lays out what RKSSS offers, in concrete terms rather than slogans.
Since 1991, R.K. Senior Secondary School has been educating children in Aliganj, Lucknow. What started as a small primary school has grown into a CBSE-affiliated senior secondary school serving students from Class 1 to 12, with Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams in the senior years. A child who joins us in Class 1 can, if they wish, complete their entire schooling here without the disruption of changing institutions midway.
The reasons parents choose us are straightforward when you ask them. They speak of consistent board results — not a single exceptional year, but a steady record across batches. They speak of teachers who stay for years and come to know each child as an individual. They mention laboratories that are actually used rather than kept behind glass, sports facilities that fill up at break time, and a school culture that treats character as seriously as marks.
We do not promise perfection, and we would not ask you to believe a school that did. What we can tell you is that the adults your child spends their days with here are people who chose this work deliberately and continue to choose it. A school, in the end, is the sum of the daily encounters between a child and the adults around them — and that is what we have spent the years since 1991 trying to get right.
Academics That Deliver
Our students have achieved a 100% pass rate in both Class X and XII CBSE board exams for four consecutive years (2022 to 2025). In 2025, 189 students appeared for the Class XII exams — 9 scored above 90% and 28 above 80%. In Class X, 8 of 29 students crossed 90%. These numbers reflect the daily effort our teachers put in and the study culture we have built over three decades.
We follow the CBSE curriculum across all four stages — primary, middle, secondary, and senior secondary. Students in the senior secondary section can choose from Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams, with subject combinations that prepare them for engineering, medical, and competitive entrance exams. Our teachers plan lessons around the CBSE syllabus framework, using practical examples and regular assessments so no student falls behind. Many of our teachers have been with RKSSS for over a decade — they know the school, the community, and the families they serve.
Campus Life and Community
Learning at RKSSS goes beyond the textbook. Our campus includes dedicated Physics, Chemistry, and Biology labs where students run experiments themselves, a computer lab with current hardware and internet access, and a library with a growing collection of reference books and fiction. Classrooms are equipped for interactive learning, and our cricket nets, badminton courts, and music-and-dance rooms give students real outlets beyond academics.
Every student joins one of our four houses — Nalanda, Takshashila, Vallabhi, or Vikramshila — and competes in sports, quizzes, debates, and cultural events throughout the year. This is where students learn teamwork and leadership, not from a textbook but from actually leading a team and showing up for their house. Our annual events like Annual Day, Independence Day, and Republic Day give every student a chance to perform and participate.
