These rules have been framed to keep the school functioning smoothly and to ensure that every child receives the attention, care, and guidance they deserve. We request parents and students to read them carefully and cooperate fully, as a shared understanding between home and school is essential to a child's growth.
Attendance and Leave
Regular attendance is the foundation of a student's academic progress. This section outlines how absences, leave, and prolonged absence are to be managed.
- Any absence from school, even for a single day, must be accompanied by a leave application addressed to the Principal.
- If absence extends beyond three days, a medical or official certificate must be submitted.
- If a child has an infectious disease, parents should keep the child at home. A Medical Certificate and Fitness Certificate must be submitted on return.
- Students absent for 10 consecutive days without prior permission may have their names removed from the register. Re-admission will be allowed only if there is a vacancy and upon payment of the admission fee.
- Prior permission from the Principal is required for any leave of absence, except in unforeseen circumstances.
- Senior section students (IX-XII) absent for more than three days must meet the Principal/Vice-Principal/Coordinator with their parents on the day of return.
- Long leave for marriages, vacations, or family functions is strongly discouraged and will only be granted with the Principal's approval. Leave should not coincide with school holidays.
Uniform
The school uniform fosters a sense of identity and equality among students. The following guidelines govern its purchase and use.
- It is compulsory for every parent to purchase two sets of school uniforms.
- No alterations to the school uniform (narrowing the fit, changing waist size) are allowed. If done, the uniform will need to be repurchased.
Examinations
As a CBSE-affiliated school, we follow a structured assessment schedule. Students are expected to attend and pass all examinations conducted throughout the year.
- Students must attend and pass all examinations — Periodic Tests, Unit Tests, Half-Yearly, Annual Examinations, and surprise or class revision tests.
- As per CBSE rules, students in Classes 10 and 12 must pass all pre-board exams to be eligible for board exams.
Electronics and Valuables
To maintain a focused and secure learning environment, certain items are not permitted on campus. This section details what students should leave at home.
- Mobile phones, iPods, MP3 players, pen drives, and similar devices are strictly prohibited. If found, they will be confiscated and not returned.
- In an emergency, students may request permission from the coordinator to use the school office phone.
- Photography, recording, and any electronic communication devices are banned on campus.
- The school does not encourage students to use social media. Strict action will be taken for misconduct through social media.
- Do not bring expensive items — watches, fountain pens, gold or silver jewelry, friendship bands, or large amounts of money. The school is not responsible for lost items.
- Jewelry (chains, rings, bangles, bracelets) is not permitted during school hours. Girls may wear small earrings or studs. Religious symbols should be discreet.
Sports Activity
Physical education is an essential part of a student's overall development. Every student is required to participate in a sport of their choice.
- It is mandatory for every student to choose one sport — badminton, cricket, fencing, or taekwondo.
Parent Responsibilities
A strong partnership between parents and the school is vital to a student's success. The following expectations help us maintain clear and timely communication.
- Supervise your children's studies and show interest in school activities.
- Sign occasional reports from teachers in the school diary.
- Attend PTM (Parent-Teacher Meeting). Failure to do so will result in a deduction of 5 marks from the student's next exam score.
- Answer calls from the school. Update the office in writing if your contact number changes.
- Change of address or phone number must be intimated to the school in writing without delay.
- When writing to the Principal/Vice-Principal/Coordinator, mention your child's Class, Section, and SR Number.
- Visit the school and meet teachers only after securing a prior appointment through the school diary.
- Contribute to the annual function fund as directed by the Principal.
- Participation in annual functions, sports events, and other activities is mandatory for both parents and students. A fine of Rs. 200 will be imposed for unexcused absence.
Discipline
Discipline is the cornerstone of a respectful and safe school community. The following standards of conduct apply to all students at all times.
- The school reserves the right to suspend or take strict disciplinary action against any student whose conduct is consistently unsatisfactory or detrimental to others.
- Firecrackers, inappropriate literature, or similar materials are strictly prohibited on campus.
- Students arriving on motorcycles or scooters must submit an undertaking from their parents. The school is not responsible for theft or loss of vehicles parked outside the campus.
